Direct phase modulation via optical injection: theoretical study

چکیده
Direct phase modulation via optical injection is a newly developed method for coding the of gain-switched laser, which meets high requirements placed on transmitters quantum key distribution: compactness, low losses, compatibility with CMOS technologies, and absence undesirable effects leading to side-channel information leakage. Despite successful implementation good prospects further development this system, there still lack theoretical investigations scheme in literature. Here, first time, we perform its analysis. We study influence spontaneous emission noise, examine role gain non-linearity consider effect temperature drift. The results obtained reveal that these phenomena significantly affect system performance. have tried formulate here practical instructions, will help take features into account when elaborating employing optical-injection-based modulator.

Theoretical study of the effect of hydrogen addition to natural gas-fueled direct-injection engines
The preparation of air–fuel mixture is considerably dependent on fluid flow dynamics to achieve improved performance, efficiency, and engine combustion in the appearance of flow. In this study, the effects of mixtures of hydrogen and compressed natural gas (CNG) on a spark ignition engine are numerically considered. This article presents the results of a direct-injection engine using methane–hy...
متن کاملCarbon Sequestration via Direct Injection
The build-up of carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gases in the Earth’s atmosphere has caused concern about possible global climate change. As a result, international negotiations have produced the Framework Convention on Climate Change (FCCC), completed during the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro. The treaty, which the United States has ratified, calls for the “stabilization of green...
متن کاملTheoretical analysis of a method for extracting the phase of a phase- amplitude modulated signal generated by a direct-modulated optical injection-locked semiconductor laser
The phase modulation (PM) and amplitude modulation (AM) of optical signals can be achieved using a direct-modulated (DM) optical injection-locked (OIL) semiconductor laser. We propose and theoretically analyze a simple method to extract the phase component of a PM signal produced by a DM-OIL semiconductor laser. The pure AM component of the combined PM–AM signal can be isolated by square-law de...

متن کاملPhase Retrieval via Randomized Kaczmarz: Theoretical Guarantees
We consider the problem of phase retrieval, i.e. that of solving systems of quadratic equations. A simple variant of randomized Kaczmarz method was recently proposed for phase retrieval, and it was shown numerically to have a computational edge over state-of-the-art Wirtinger flow methods. In this paper, we provide the first theoretical guarantee for the convergence of the randomized Kacmarz me...
